Is this your first time driving your own car out to the airport, and you're not sure where to leave it for the duration of your holiday? No worries. Pre-booking an airport parking spot on ParkoLow takes just a few minutes, and in this article we'll walk you through it from start to finish. No prior experience needed – just follow the steps.

Step 1 – Starting your search
On the homepage, first enter the details of your trip:
- the start and end dates of your parking (when you'll drop off the car and when you'll come back for it),
- the number of vehicles,
- and the number of passengers – including children.
Once you've done all that, click the "Show parking lots" button. After that, all you have to do is browse the results.
⚠️ Watch out if you arrive back after midnight! If your return flight lands after midnight, already on the next calendar day, then for the parking end date you should also choose the actual calendar day – which may be one day later than when you boarded the plane. If you enter it incorrectly, your booking will be shorter than it should be, and you'll have to settle the missing day on the spot afterwards.
Step 2 – Browsing the parking lots
The results page shows the full list of Budapest airport parking lots known to ParkoLow. You can also sort the results by the following criteria:
- by price,
- by distance,
- or by rating.
"Distance" means the exact distance from Terminal 2 of Liszt Ferenc Airport, based on Google Maps. Important: a greater distance is actually no disadvantage at all! The parking lots take you to the terminal by shuttle bus, and the ride typically takes only about 10–12 minutes, so a parking lot a bit further away remains a perfectly comfortable choice – often at a better price.
If you arrive in an electric car, use the EV charger filter, so the list only shows parking lots that also offer charging – this is currently only available at the ABC Gold parking lot, but it will soon be available at more parking lots too!
Step 3 – The parking lot's detailed page
If you like a parking lot, click the "Book" button on its card. In the pop-up window you can view the parking lot's detailed page: the exact price for the period you want to book, the available services, the number of free spaces, and the payment options.
If you're happy with your choice based on the price and services, move on to the next page.
Step 4 – Entering your personal details
Now comes entering your personal details. The most important things here are the exact arrival and departure times – the spot is held for you in the parking lot based on these, and the parking lots use them to organise the transfer to the terminal.
⚠️ Be especially careful with the timing, particularly if you arrive back after midnight! In that case, make sure you set the correct, actual calendar day already in Step 1!
Good to know: parking lots usually allow a few hours of grace period, so a slight delay on your return typically won't cause a problem. That said, it's common practice that in the case of a significantly later return the parking lot may charge for the extra day(s) – so it's worth giving a realistic departure time.
Fill in all the required fields, add a comment if you have any requests, and then finalise your booking.
Step 5 – The confirmation
After you submit the booking, we'll send you a confirmation email. It contains all the important details, and you'll also find a unique link in it, with which you can modify certain details of your booking, or cancel the booking entirely.
The booking can be cancelled free of charge up to at least 12 hours before your planned arrival – so you can book with peace of mind even if your travel plans aren't fully certain yet.
ℹ️ Important: the number of vehicles and the parking dates cannot be modified via this link. If you need to change any of these, please cancel the booking and create a new one with the correct details.
Payment – no need to pay in advance
One of the most common questions when booking for the first time: do I have to pay in advance? No. On ParkoLow, booking requires no prepayment or online payment. You pay the parking fee on the spot, at the parking lot, by cash or card – so the booking is completely risk-free.
At some of our selected partners, advance online payment is also available, but this is only an option, not mandatory.
What happens on arrival?
If you haven't parked at an off-site airport parking lot before, it's good to know what to expect on the spot:
- Arrive at the parking lot at your booked time. On arrival, they'll find your booking based on your booking ID (from the confirmation email), your name, or naturally your licence plate.
- At the parking lot you usually park the car yourself, but the staff generally help you find the right parking space. Handing over your car key is mandatory at some lots and not at others. The purpose of handing over the key is simply so the car can be moved from its spot in case of an emergency.
- After moving your luggage across, the parking lot's shuttle bus takes you to Terminal 2 (the ride typically takes only about 10–12 minutes).
