Most airport car parks are backed by a family business or a larger operating company. Ferihegy Top Parkoló is a different story: it was started by a group of friends, and the same young team still runs it today. The car park is in Vecsés, at Széchenyi utca 146, 5.4 kilometres from the terminal of Budapest's Liszt Ferenc Airport. The free transfer covers the distance in a few minutes, both to the airport and back to your car on the way home. The entrance is easy to recognise by the blue-and-white “Ferihegy Top Parkoló – Airport Parking” banner stretched across the fence.
A guarded site, day and night
Security here stands on two legs. The entire site is monitored by a 24-hour CCTV system, and in addition there are security staff on the premises – so it is not only that whatever happens in the car park is recorded, there is always someone there actually watching. Not every car park in Vecsés offers the two together, and for a longer absence it is especially reassuring.
Arrival is quick: handing over the car takes a few minutes, and then the transfer is already taking you to the terminal. The way back is just as simple, and the car park can be reached by phone at any hour of the day.

A good choice with an electric car too
Ferihegy Top Parkoló is one of the few airport car parks where electric vehicle charging is available. Anyone who drives an EV knows why that matters: after a week or two of standing still, especially in the cold, the charge level you set off home with makes a real difference – particularly if home is not just around the corner. If you would like your car charged, it is best to mention it in the comment field when you book.
Exterior washing and interior valeting can also be ordered for the duration of your stay. It is a practical arrangement: the car is standing for days anyway, the cleaning gets done in the meantime, and you get back into a clean car after your holiday.
As at most car parks, a surcharge may apply to vehicles larger than a standard five-seat passenger car – a minibus, a larger SUV or a pickup – since these take up more room.
